Reference virtual slides and quality control

If MECOS-C2 system is applied full quality control of all analysis stages is possible. Blood smear preparation quality is controlled during automatic smear screening. Quality of automated cell sample gathering can be controlled by a doctor using special virtual slide of automated smear screening. The special VS  includes marks of detected cell locations together with trajectory path. A doctor can control correctness of screening region choice and loss of cells during screening. A doctor can evaluate automated screening quality  making his own marks in the VS. This type of VS we named "reference" VS (RVS). Above MECOS-C2 control such RVS usage allows  to certificate quality of blood smear preparation in laboratory. RVS test also provides with valuable information about MECOS-C2 work in cases of rare diseases, a new staining and so on. MECOS Co. uses the RVS information for new program version development and medical trials. More general functions of MECOS-C2 allow a user to input to any type VS  marks of different properties forming RVS for teaching, investigations, external quality control and more. Some marks can be shown as questions and hidden answers (for example of cell types), so such RVS can be used for a student and a doctor examination.
