MECOS microscopy combines have a full range of tools for automating the analysis of a wide range of biomaterials used in medical, research, veterinary, sanitary, production laboratories of various profiles. Automatic harvester techniques work in different modes, performing a different amount of operations with slides depending on the type of research.
For slides of all types, an automatic scanner technique can be used, which forms representative digital images of slides (DISs) and provides an ergonomic workplace for visual viewing of the DIS on the monitor. It is possible to set the DIS in the form of a 2D/3D panorama of the working area of the slide at a given resolution with various methods of selecting the area.
A group of specialized combine techniques of a higher level of automation forms, in addition to the DIS, galleries of images of objects of analysis (GOA) in accordance with the requirements of regulated manual microscopy techniques. The results of the automatic analysis - DIS and GOA - are available for viewing in the "preclassification" mode, which allows the user to adjust the composition of the GOA.
MECOS combines use AMSM© scan technology, which maximizes the quality and speed of production of DIS of all type specimens. GOA are formed by automatic combine analyzers - trained neural networks.
The collective cloud resource of MECOS combines http://mecosvirt.ru allows laboratories to receive remote telemedicine consultations of the DIS and GOA. The resource http://mecosvirt.ru can also be used for collective activities to service the flow of requests for consultations, advanced training, quality control, creation of archives of diagnostic cases, conference.
In the process of operation, the combine forms statistics of GOA user adjustments. Combines also receive up-to-date statistics on the accuracy of preclassification for the team of operated combines, coming from MecosMonitor cloud monitor of the manufacturer. Based on the statistics of accuracy, the administration, taking into account the current conditions and tasks of the laboratory, decides on the required amount of visual control of the automatic methodology: control of the DIS and GOA; control of GOA only; it is possible to use GOA without user control.
MECOS combines are active self-learning systems that use the period of operation to increase the accuracy of automatic preclassification analyzers.
Users, performing routine control of the results of preclassification of laboratory slide flows, send the DIS and the results of verified control of GOA through MecosMonitor to the common database of artificial intelligence of combine LOSCAM©. LOSCAM periodically conducts additional training of neural networks of analyzers using an ever-increasing database of control results as a training sample. When the accuracy of preclassification increases, LOSCAM upgrades the analyzers of operating combines through MecosMonitor.
The use of AMSM, MecosMonitor and LOSCAM combine technologies for the first time creates conditions for the formation of full-scale representative training and testing samples of digital slides that are not available until the stage of mass operation. The professional community of users is involved in the process of developing and making decisions on options for monitoring automatic techniques. It is possible to develop / modernize automatic techniques that are at any level of responsibility for the result.
