The MECO-SCAN scanner for virtual microscopy

The MECO-SCAN automated scanner of the MECOS-C2 family creates digital copies of different types specimens - Virtual slides (VS). VS is a panorama of many neighboring fields of view. VSs are stored in database and can be analyzed on a computer screen. Study of representative digital VS has significant advantages compared to direct microscopy. Application of the MECOS-SCAN scanner increases labour productivity, creates conditions for local and remote collective maintenance of specimens, for quality control and staff training.

Characteristics:

— Microscopy of bright field or fluorescent;
— Objectives of the entire range of apertures;
— Automated production of the slide Map to select the scan area;
— Automated production of 2d or 3d VS for viewing on a monitor without loss of resolution and with navigation by Map.
